★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After having to visit twice to get my colour right was told by the manager I wouldn’t have to pay the second time as I had only been there a few days prior and I wasn’t happy with my colour. After getting it fixed I was charged for the toner costing all up $160 on top of the $420 I paid I few days prior. Not only that, my hair was really long down to my tail bone, asked the hairdresser to trim but keep the length as much as possible. We both came to an agreement of how much I was getting off came out with my hair just passing my breast length wise definitely unhappy. Have tried contacting the salon via email with no reply.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there for a haircut and colour and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a hairdresser. Apparently the bleach had a chemical reaction to my "cheap shampoo" as she said, and my hair was fried. This could have been prevented if she would have check on me, but she left the product in an went to look after a new ladies that popped next to me. Her attitude was terrible from the beginning, almost non communication and rushing all the time. When she was washing my hair I noticed something went wrong, and as she was combing my hair y could see how literally stands of bleached hair were falling down. I grabbed some and my hair was dissolving between my fingers. I told her and showed her and she kept on saying that everything was ok and there was nothing to worry about. She had to put toner twice to hide the patches of uneven yellow hair. I was so confused, I new something was very wrong but she carry on, blow dry my hair nicely so I couldn't tell the magnitude of the mess. After paying $310 I went home and took a closer look and discovered literally strokes of yellow and one side of my head blonder than the other, stripes so poorly done that done even blend with the rest of the head. But after taking a shower my hair started falling again, my hair was so fragile that with the brush it was falling apart. I went in with 100% natural hair, and I walk out with severe hair damage.
I email the place and the owner took responsibility, apologised to me, give my money back and put on a treatment to repair my hair, and I appreciate it cause he was really upset with the situation as well, but still, I'm very frustrated and confused about why this lady let me walk out with such a mess. She should have take ownership of the situation, she should have tell me that my hair was damaged and she should have offered me a solution straight away. Errors are human and I would have understood, but trying to hide the mess and charge me for it is unprofessional. Hair grows back luckily and I will definitely never go back there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seriously only go to Chop if you're down for a transformation. Awesome service, great Playlist and professionals who will tell you what's up and what's not. Can't recommend Kate and the team highly enough. I went in with a tired hair colour and an outdated cut that made me look 20 years older then I am and came out feeling a milly. The products they use are quality and the complimentary coffee is delicious.
