★ ★ ★ ★ ★ my Son was supposed to have his cast removed today at church Street surgery after a year and a half of suffering with different complications to the broken arm . However when we arrived at our appointment the doctor told us they didn’t have the equipment to do it and that it would probably take two weeks to be seen at the fracture clinic . I called the hospital and they were stunned that it couldn’t be removed at the surgery , and I called his surgeon in Auckland who was also shocked that it could not be removed by the doctor . He agreed that we could remove it ourselves with a pair of scissors which my son did easily with his left hand . I find it hard to believe that they didn’t have a pair of scissors . Poor effort !!
