★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow I can't believe the colour of the water. It's such an awesome colour and I have yet to find out what minerals are in the water to make it like this. The hills are a good contrast to the river and the two together are stunning.

Fabulous views of Lake Dunstan.
A cycle trail is being built on the far side of the lake and some off road cycling is able to be done.
Two plaques explaining the history of the area have sadly been removed.
Pity that on the remaining plaque the supporting role of women is not recognised in the development of the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to park in a slip off the main highway (accommodates 8 cars easily). There are also some write ups about the history of the gold mining around this area at the lookout point.
