I came to NZ originally on a holiday in January with my partner but soon after arriving we discovered that she was pregnant so decided to stay. Away from work, friends, family and soon to becoming a dad - I found myself being overwhelmed constantly and it was really starting to affect my self-esteem and my relationship.
I started seeing Guy once every few weeks and bit by bit I really started to feel better and stronger. I had never been to a counsellor before and he made it so effortless to open up with and connect. He's got such a relaxed way of working and his observations and advice were always so clear, on point and practical. After some of the sessions he'd follow up with such an in depth letter which was so appreciated.
I genuinely cannot thank him enough. He's helped transform a very challenging year for me into one of my best. And it's not just this year that he's helped me with - he's also made me aware of old patterns and defensive mechanisms that have been with me all my life and gave me ways to manage and transform these ways of being that has held me back.
I feel like the best version of myself and I would hugely recommend Guy to anyone - but especially to young men who haven't much experience of counselling in the past.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We all have hard things to deal with from time to time - no one on this planet gets away without having to navigate their way through challenges. Recognising you need support to find your way through is one thing. Hoping you’ve reached out to a counsellor who is the right fit for you, when there are so many to choose from, is another.
I quickly realised Guy was just what I needed. He is kind, friendly, intuitive, and hugely compassionate. He is also a thoughtful communicator and brings good humour when appropriate. Guy truly is the type of person you can easily be vulnerable with.
I believe Guy to be a great counsellor fit for all walks of life as he is not rigid in his approach.
Additionally, his home-office is also a place of tranquillity – soaking up the native bush surroundings and being greeted by his adorable puppy was therapy in itself!

With Guy's support and understanding I have been able to turn this crisis into a real turning point for positive change and awareness in my life. I still have a bit of a journey to go, but with Guy's help I am sure I can get to where I want to be. :)

Guy is a fantastic person to speak to. during our conversations he was able to guide me in the right direction to have a very good understanding how to handle this stress in different situations.
