★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big branch of Countdown in town here. Easy to get access. Lots of parking space. Various kinds of snacks to grab. Wide shelf of daury products. Hot promotion for many types of products such as chocolate bar, that's why the shelf almost wiped out. Good service and helpful staff.

Popled in was able to get all I needed for a lunch. Nice and clean , staff packing out the shelves. Could see all the deals and specials. There is parking out front easy in and out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good clean store. However the barriers install for covid make it difficult for the mobility challenged to check out. They do have a disabled friendly check out but it is never open. Staff doesn't care about the issue

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I mainly use our small town supermarket so found this place was amazing. So much to choose from. Had an hour and a half before hospital visiting & spent it wandering up and down the aisles going wow. (Now that's sad!!! ? - but I did enjoy)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had a complaint with this store due to one particular member of staff not knowing how to speak to customers.
The complaint was handled very well by the manager and all is good now. You can find some things cheaper in other supermarkets but countdown also has things cheaper than the others. If its cheap as possible you want your best bet is to shop at them all and know what is on offer or special priced etc. Otherwise, this is the place to go if you want to shop in nice surroundings with a good choice on offer. This is also the one place I know with an extensive selection of cheeses, 4 or 5 English varieties plus 50 or more other "proper" cheeses on offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super pleased to see the price of staples come down. While root vegetables at our local supermarket are soaring ($7 per kg parsnips!) this Countdown had $2 broccoli heads and $3 per kg carrots today. Always good specials like $1 L&P and $2 crumpets. Spacious, clean, always well stocked (other than on special cat food that must fly out the door!). Fabulous range, super friendly staff, huge carpark ~ what's not to like?
