★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those new to Wellington or this Route: This central bus hub, Stop 5000, at the end of Courtenay Place is handy to many eateries, cafes, pubs and other amenities such as backpackers, hotels, cinemas, theatres, parks, supermarket, Oriental Beach, Te Papa Museum and the Wellington Waterfront where you will find more dining options and recreation facilities.
It is also close to the Paramount Cinema Theatre which has recently completed its refurbishment (into a hotel?) with new paint and balcony but still retaining its heritage facade.
