★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to study here in 2018 to become a make up artist, the teachers are cool from what I can remember, everyone's friendly and u learn alot about special effects, skin care, face shapes, alot of things to help you become the true make up artist you are, lol I don't go here anymore, passion has changed but honestly pretty chill place and you learn alot!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ -5 stars, took me an hour and a half for a haircut on top of that, the student slipped and made a mistake. While this alone would not be an issue, mistakes happen, but the supervisor (Curtis), was highly unprofessional rude and downright insulting. Being a barber for 30 odd years would mean you acquire a little people skills, but apparently for Curtis it means disrespecting your customers (supremacist attitude gets you nowhere in life. Well apart from being a glorified barber). You seriously need to learn how to talk to people. Highly recommend going to other places, one of the most horrible customer experiences I have ever faced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there with a voucher! Cut and colour was value for money except the tiring length of appointment which was 5hours. Dont visit if you are short of time or other appointments lined up. Otherwise very nice service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience at Manukau branch for Make up artist course....Incapable MUA tutors, you can learn more by watching tutorials on theYouTube channel. They wasted our 2 months by teaching us only a few and incomplete contents . And 2 months were rushed to complete the course. We hardly got any bridal and full glam demos. Tutors showed favouritism , too much fighting and unnecessary dramas between students and manager/ tutor had no skill/ understanding to sort that out. Felt so happy on the last day of my course. I have studied in ignite college and me and students in my class had an awesome time/ experience with amazing tutors.

Never got either of them and tried to contact them multiple times asking about it and they would shut me out and never gave me a strait answer. Don’t recommend attending a course here at all. Toxic environment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an awesome haircut yesterday by Bree. Would give 5 stars for her service, she is excellent and gentle, but 4 stars is because the water was cold. I do not have concern with my hair being cut by student who is still learning, in fact, most of them are doing pretty good and thoughtful because they are afraid to make mistakes too. And guess what, they have a fantastic trainer to touch up and fix your hair if something goes wrong. Lastly, it's affordable with the student price so dont be so demanding. Overall I am happy. Keep it up guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wouldn’t even rate cut above one star at this point. This school is absolutely terrible! I attended from April 2021 to August 2021, I completed and passed the level 2 salon skills course and never received my certificate or ncea level 2 credits that they had advertised throughout all our workbooks and on the website! They have now removed that you can receive ncea level 2 from their website after my class made multiple complaints that we had never received our credits or certificates! We’ve contacted the school multiple times and have always received the same responses like “we don’t know what’s going on” or “I will get someone to give you a call back” but NONE of us have received a call back from the school, we’ve constantly nagged the school about our credits as it has literally PUT OUR LIVES ON HOLD. A lot of us can’t get jobs due to employers asking for proof of us having NCEA level 2, the same with schools!!! This is so unprofessional and honestly so horrible; I would never expect this kind of behaviour to come from a school. I would never recommend attending this school, it wasted months of my life and I got nothing good out of it. I hope the school sees this and finally gives my class some answers because we are growing tired of waiting and letting cut above ruin our lives and futures. I’ve attached proof from when they advertised that you could achieve NCEA level 2 from the course and proof that they have removed it.
