Monique Arts
Monique graduated from the University of Otago in 2018 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. Monique has many years of experience in the dental industry having worked as a dental assistant & more recently as an Oral Health Therapist for the Auckland Regional Dental Service.
Monique’s dental interests include preventative dentistry and working with anxious patients to create an environment in which they feel comfortable.
Having recently moved from Auckland to Taranaki with her partner to buy their first home, Monique is enjoying exploring New Plymouth in her spare time. Monique also enjoys travelling, baking & spending time with family, friends & her fur baby Oskar.

I went in on Tuesday in tears because I was so scared and they made me feel so incredibly safe and comfortable to come back and get the work done that I needed. Highly recommend to anyone especially if you're anxious about the dentist

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I need to go here... but I tried booking an appointment twice and I STILL haven't gotten a call back, I tried last week and this week. I thought this was a great place to go to.. guess I was completely wrong..they won't even call you back ?? oh and look, a reply and guess what. Still no call.. horrible customer service. I'll just live in pain with my wisdom tooth. No actually I'd rather go to the dentist on liardet than go here. Terrible customer service. Dont waste your time trying to contact about booking an appointment. I saw the reply and I thought.. no they won't. They wont call me back, that's a lie. Guess what? I was right! They just send messages like that to keep you happy and make sure you have high Hopes and expectations of them. Cant find my details ??? what a joke. I sent in 2 emails. So I'm being ignored, this is like kmart customer service all over again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been using this dentist for more than a year now and have found them to be very professional. They have a good reminder system which makes it easy to remember appointments. The staff are all friendly and obliging. The dentists I have had have been well trained and up-to-date.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last week my partner and me went for a dental hygiene.
The team at reception were very nice and we didn't have to wait for our appointments. However we both agree it was the worst hygiene we've had. Hygienes are not something 'nice' but they can be done with more or less care and being more or less careful and this one was really uncomfortable. It was also quite quick. We both had 45 min appointments booked and the hygiene took 30 min for him and 25 for me.
I have been to other dentists were the price is according to the time they spend with you so I asked this at reception but they mentioned they charge a fix amount.
Really disappointed with this experience. We came here because it was a recommendation but we will be trying a different place for our next hygiene.
