β β β β β Well worth the visit. Keep in mind it will feel like you've climbed 20 flights of stairs.

β β β β β Did this middle of June - Saw this beautiful waterfall from the main highway and decided that's something I want to see.....so we did it and even though I am post surgery 4wks with my knee not yet in full 100% range I still went an pushed through it!! I did at my own pace, it's actually a very easy walk, a few too many steps to climb so be prepared BUT it's definitely worth the walk.
Glad we did it as it was very beautiful, worth the stop and the fitness.

β β β β β Great moody skies when we arrived into Arthur's Pass. Can tell there had been an exceptional amount of rain recently by the flooded areas and waterfalls everywhere! This track is only half an hour but mostly up hill and mostly stairs! Be warned for the unfit like myself haha... Well worth it though! There's a large viewing platform when you get to the falls which had an incredible amount of water falling. The noise was amazing but calming. We all splashed our faces to cool off despite being winter and 6C we got hot walking up there. There's a section before the platform you can get too safely. The kids loved it! Want to move to a wooden cabin in the forest now.

β β β β β A bit steep at times but so worth it. Make sure you take the track that goes all the way to the bottom of the falls. So so beautiful

β β β β β Nice walk. Not far from the road. A number of set of stairs. Was raining at the time but lots of tree cover so didnβt end up to wet. Fine for taking kids

β β β β β Well worth the hike up lots of steps to see this waterfall. Beautiful bird life and a very well maintained track. Make sure you take the very short detour to the old power station site and hang out with the very friendly South Island Robins.

β β β β β A beautiful nature walk to the waterfall & it takes around 45 minutes return.
Nice to wear running/walking shoes as there are many stairs on the truck.
The water fall is just stunning & there are many look-out spots.

β β β β β Beautiful! there sure are a lot of steps/stairs to climb but every single one of them is worth it for this gorgeous view.
Aside from the very plentiful steps, the track is easy to traverse and well organized, although as it's very shady in winter there could be ice.
From the carpark you get a preview of the falls, and again from the footbridge, but the grandeur when you fully reach is amazing ..makes all this steps worthwhile!
