★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took our Subaru Impreza to get the wheels rotated and a wheel balance.
On collecting it, the proprietor advised that the front left brake pad was “ on the metal, dangerous and he was surprised I had a warrant”
He also said he could “see the rust which was an indication” and that he could undertake the repair work now.
I took the vehicle to Tainui Motors (Proprietor Vic Martin) to get the work done. He phoned to advise that without taking the wheels off he could see that the pads were fine.
I advised him that Bridgestone were insistent that there was a problem and could he take the wheels off to check
He did so and confirmed that the pads had 3mm on them (about half worn) and he declined to do the work.
I went back to Bridgestone and the proprietor didn't have an explanation.
I'm uneasy about being lied to and I'm sure many rely on this sort of advice to sort issues with their vehicles. And Devonport needs these kind of small businesses. I'm afraid I couldn't go near this one again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my tyre in for a simple puncture repair & received an unbelievably poor level of service accompanied by outright rudeness & eventually hostility. The franchisee, was utterly incompetent & when confronted with incontrovertible facts proving that to be the case he was rude & belligerent. After several attempts at resolution involving a regional manager & an equally belligerent national wholesale sales manager (these guys have form), I was eventually given compensation for my considerable trouble & I retrieved my tyre unrepaired. The incompetence was bad enough, the response at all levels, totally unforgivable. I subsequently got the puncture repaired at a nearby service provider within an hour & at considerably less cost. Interestingly, that service provider had told me that he's had similar feedback of incompetence from Bridgestone Devonport. If I could give a negative rating I would. Avoid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a long time customer of Bridgestone Devonport and after seeing a review left below I decided to leave one of my own.
I went to Bridgestone Devonport yesterday to get some tyres fitted for my new car. While I was there another customer was throwing a right fit at the owner and carrying on out into the street. His language towards Aaron was nothing short of horrifying and I will admit I felt very threatened by this person's behaviour. The commotion this man caused was so bad that the neighbouring mechanic came out to tell him to leave. However, I must say that Aaron kept his composure and was nothing but professional and level headed. He was very apologetic that we had to witness it.
Aaron's service and replacement of my vehicles tyres was top notch, very happy with the quality and the price, he was able to recommend something well within my price range and explained everything to me! I always have a pleasant experience at this shop, Aaron is very knowledgeable with vehicles and I always feel like I am getting the best value for my money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid Bridgestone Tyre Centre Devonport at all cost. I took my car in for a simple tyre puncture repair but the owner Aaron insisted to sell me a brand new tyre. Charged me money for “his time and space” to let me retrieve my vehicle. Shockingly poor level of customer service and plain rude when trying to justify himself. Became even threatening to the point I had to lodge a complaint with the police. I subsequently got the puncture repaired at a nearby service provider within an hour. If I could give a negative rating I would.

He advised me on a serious issue to do with the safety of my car and fixed it quickly and at a great price. I would definitely recommend this business to all my friends and family.
