Jim Dobbie
Founder (Retired)
Jim graduated from the University of Canterbury and then worked for a pulp mill in Canada where he qualified as a professional engineer. On returning to New Zealand he joined a large multi-discipline consulting engineering practice and became a partner. In 1990 Jim established Dobbie to specialise in mechanical engineering. He is also on two advisory boards and a director of an insurance company.
Jim retired as a Director and Shareholder of our firm in 2019.
