★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My House has been completed for 3 years. However, It is completely ridiculous and unacceptable that still to this day I do not have my Code Compliance Certificates (CCC) sign off by City Council.
I have had a terrible experience for the past few years. I am extremely disappointed, stressed and sad that I chose Dreamhome for my build.
A few years back I agreed to sign a contract with Dreamhome Construction Group Ltd for the construction of my new home on 15 August 2015.
Dreamhome has breached its building contract with me by not achieving their practical completion within 150 working days. The practical completion date was 29 JUL 2016. Dreamhome did not complete my building work including the driveway, they walked off the site with my building consents folder with all site inspection records and have never returned.
In the end, I had to complete the final inspection on my own, fixing all the problems Dreamhome has abandoned, using up a lot of my time and money to sort out the faults caused by Dreamhome.
In view of the evidence submitted to the Disputes Tribunal. Through the District Court, an Order of Disputes Tribunal has been issued on 16 NOV 2018 against Dreamhome demanding that all documents are to release and deliver back to be required by the City Council.
But Dreamhome continually ignored all authorities, disobeying the court order, bailiff and the law.
Unlawfully, they are very irresponsible, dishonest and act poorly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a neighbour to a Dream Home building site, the last 4 months have been simply unacceptable. From my experience this company has complete disregard for the Building Regulations in terms of the legal hours to be operating on site and other requirements. Dream Home has worked every Sunday for the past 2 months (not allowed for a Residential site) and almost always used Power tools (i.e Hack Saw & Drills) passed the designated 6PM curfew - the worst example being when we had tradesmen operating these tools at 10PM on a Sunday night. We've had our garage access blocked with vehicle queues 4-5 vehicles long most evenings when we arrive home from work, workers constantly smoking on site stinking out our home in the summer months, tools & nails left on our residence, leaking Port-a-loos on our boundary, stealing power from our power points on our property and everything in between.
All this work late at night, disturbing our neighbourhood and young families was all for an investment property that is now for sale so everyone could cash in quickly with no regard to the disturbance they have caused to the community.
I'm definitive detractor of this outfit as should everyone else be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few things wrong with the new home, flashing missing around window frames leading to leaky home later is being ignored. Exposed a hole in side of house they tried to hide not getting fixed. Lots of promises to fix but nothing being done. Poor plumbing issues not resolved. Pipes outside of house huge trip issue. Fence construction, just nailed onto neighbours fence even though part of it is falling over. Concrete steps lead you to run straight into fence while to its side is a gate
