About E & J Contractors
Formed in 1980 by John Elers & Rob Joyes, E & J Contractors started out with four staff working mainly in the Taupo/Turangi area and connecting many properties to the new Taupo District Council sewer system. Rob's son Kevin joined the company in 1985 and in 1990 he bought the company from his dad.
It's a family-focussed business and Kevin and Lisa’s son Liam is currently doing an apprenticeship with the firm prior to heading to university, and daughters Chelsea and Stephanie have also worked on many sites for E & J Contractors.
E & J now have a staff of 12 with 5 registered drainlayers, 2 apprentices and a proud history of long term-employment relationships with many of their employees.
E & J’s company philosophy is to provide a transparent quality service, to complete projects to a high standard and work closely with all clients, contractors and subbies to achieve the best possible result for all concerned.
