It has taken me so long to write this testimonial because I’ve been lost for words about how amazing Emma is. From the moment we first spoke to her we knew she was the photographer for us. Her style is so natural, beautiful, soft, glowy – she makes couples look like they’re straight out of a magazine! So that’s why we fell in love with her work at first, but as time went on we found so many more reasons to feel beyond lucky we had chosen Emma. Where do I begin? The little special surprises along the way, the long and comforting chat during the COVID-19 mess, supporting our elopement wholeheartedly, and being so cool with changing plans from a 150-guest Wellington wedding to a helicopter ride up a mountain in Queenstown literally just us, a celebrant, a pilot, and a coordinator. Onto the day itself. Emma was sometimes the only one with my new husband and I, and she made us feel so relaxed, comfortable, and confident – especially in Dean’s case, as he is quite shy and hates having his photo taken. We genuinely had fun with Emma. Not being with our family on the day was so hard (thanks, COVID) but having Emma there felt like a little piece of our family was right there with us. We got a sneak peak of the photos so soon after the wedding and I remember staring at them, utterly speechless, for hours. They transported us right back to the moment we said I do, and of course all the good times leading up to it – like the bizarre cat that followed us around yowling and that Emma handled like a champ. Good times! The delivery of the full album came way sooner than expected (it was peak wedding season so we were prepared to wait ages) and the pictures are unbelievable. Only people who have seen Emma’s work before or who will see it in the future will understand that unbelievable isn’t a good enough word. Emma is exceptional in every aspect – from her communication skills to her talent, her work ethic to her editing and her wonderful personality. If you are looking for a photographer who will make the most special day of your life even more memorable, someone who will capture the very essence of your love, she is the one.

Emma photographed my sisters wedding and the photos were so beautiful we booked her for our own wedding. Emma puts you at ease and has some great suggestions, resulting in amazing pictures, we are so happy we used Emma and definitely recommend her.

Emma, where to begin? She is so professional with every aspect of her job/ passion!!! ? Emma is amazing, she did some family photos and then a few years later we asked her to be our wedding photographer. She captured such special moments and seamlessly managed to be our photographer as well as feeling like she was one of the family. We had the privilege in having Emma photograph our wedding at the Glasshouse Morningside. Leading up to the day she was very excellent at communicating with us and answered any of our questions we had. On the day she fitted in seamlessly and made us and the bridal party feel relaxed. On your wedding day or even engagement shoot, Emma fits in like a member of the family. She is kind, thoughtful and comforting to have on your special day. Alongside our beautiful photos at the Hamilton Gardens (which she navigates all the best spots like the pro she is!), I really wanted some sunset ones that were a little more industrial. Emma got straight onto it, she scouted our venue and found a close rooftop carpark that gave it exactly the feel I wanted. The sun was beautiful and because she picked the best spot, my husband and I were the main focus of the shots. It was very romantic and when she got under the veil with us to take some shots, you wouldn't have even known she was there. I seriously can't recommend Emma enough.
