β β β β β This iconic chinese restaurant is a must vist if in the area. For over 30 years we have been getting takeaways and dined in. We take visitrs there and thet reaction is always the same. Love it. Consistency always. This bustling local should be on you list

β β β β β Dinner with 4 adults and 3 kids last night. Had pekking duck along with other dishes. Pekking duck was good but other dishes were over seasoned with salt. Wouldnt nornally complain but restaurant charging $5 for chilli is ridiculous. Complained to the manager when paying the bill. Manager didnt really care saying that they started charging for chilli abt 2 years ago. I stated to the manager that the chilli we got was just few pieces in soy sauce and these are normally provided at no extra charge. Anyway, charge was still applied and for this reason I have told him that we will not be returning. Manager didnt really care.

β β β β β Food is quite salty. The cold jellyfish was unevenly flavoured, like some pieces were extremely salty and others had no flavour at all. There was also a lot of water in it which should've been drained first. The peking duck doesn't taste as good as it used to. The fried tofu had some sauce at the bottom which I found weird because it made the tofu soggy instead of crispy. One of the staff spilt water over one of our guests when taking the cabbage leaves dish away. Didn't notice or apologise. For the price it's not worth it at all. You can definitely get better elsewhere.

β β β β β Truly disappointed. One of the most disgusting meals I've had. The steamed dumplings were over cooked and soggy. The scallion pancakes were burnt and inedible. The skin on the Peking duck was soggy and overcooked/burnt! If you are going to reheat the duck, do it properly! The food was too salty.
This used to be one of the best places to have Peking duck! What a total waste of money. YUCK!
And OVERPRICED!!
We heard the table next to us complain about the duck being a bit bloody and the waiter told them it was normal. IT'S NOT!

β β β β β We went to this restaurant because we had been there regularly before and were happy with the meal. We had the Peking Duck with two courses and did not realise that the second dish was mainly carcass and duck bones . Do not recommend taking the second dish with the duck.
Restaurant was full and the service was just just ok - no water served on the table.

β β β β β A must visit; rivalled my duck experience in China. Our rule of thumb is 1 duck: 3 people and youβll have room for dessert. Donβt forget to order at least a day in advance. Thereβs parking at the back but plenty on street too. Go for a stroll around the streets to walk off the food coma, there are some lovely houses in the neighbourhood.

β β β β β Had to takeaway at level 3. But even then, living 45mins south of this restaurant, the signature peking duck dish and practically all other menu listed cantonese favorites, is still possibly the place I would confidently return to every time.
