★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to become a more competent driver to suit the conditions of New Zealand roads. The simulator helped me to get the basics right and learnt from my mistakes in a stress-free and safe environment. The simulator is designed to tackle the hard stuff, which puts yourself in a position to react to the ‘worst case scenario’. Through that learning environment, I was able to drive confidently on my first 'on the road' lesson with Paul and able to act things when there were a few mishaps on the road (also my nervousness of driving in a foreign country was gone).
I highly recommend Excellence Driving Academy (and Paul is a great lad to be with if you’re in Christchurch) and you’ll learn important driving skills that even other driving schools don’t often teach you.
Ps: I’ve successfully converted my Overseas License to a New Zealand License! Afterwards, I continue to have lessons with Paul to be more skilled in New Zealand roads. Now I'm able to drive knowing that I'm in good hands.

Paul went above and beyond to ensure my son was ready for his driving test which absolutely paid off. A very well run company which I would highly recommend to anybody who is looking for driving lessons.

Failed my first attempt for my restricted through another driving school after which I heard about Excellence Driving Academy. Paul is the best instructor out there, very friendly and calming. Passed my test in the first go with the help of Paul. Will go back to them for my full licence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Could not recommend Paul enough.my son has Asperger's and was very anxious about driving. He started in the simulator then progressed into a vehicle when he was comfortable. Paul made him feel comfortable and helped him ease into driving when he was ready. If it wasn't for Paul my son wouldn't be driving and be confident at it. Thanks heaps Paul. We will be back when it's time to sit the full license

Anyone can turn on the car and start it, but how to drive safely is what's being taught during road lesson. It's the little things that I never thought about that I learned from my good driving instructor Paul. He was patient with me and was a very good supporter when I had my restricted test. If you ask, did I passed my test in the first go with Paul's help. Yes, I did. So if you are looking for a driving instructor, I'd say contact Excellence Driving Academy Southern.
