โ โ โ โ โ Been to a few tattoo places over the years but ever since finding Mike Slade and the team at Expression I would NEVER even consider going elsewhere! Always been made to feel welcome in their incredibly clean, tidy, professional studio. The staff have amazing skills at designing and tattooing unique artwork to suit your requests. So from fast efficient bookings done by Marc, fantastic work, very reasonable prices I would without a doubt highly recommend these guys to anyone and everyone looking for forever tattoos! I look forward to getting more ink in the new year ?

โ โ โ โ โ I highly recommend Ben and all the team that I meet today. I was nervous and a little unsure about how the whole process worked for getting a tattoo. As soon as I walked in the door, everyone was very welcoming, helpful, and supportive. And best of all I got exactly the tattoo that I wanted ( even better than I imagined it could be.) โ โ โ โ โ Just turned 18 and made an immediate booking and gave them a design i wanted "Hard Times" which i had wanted for a couple of years now. 24 hours later here i am typing this review whilst being very impressed by the art on my wrists. Staff are really chilled out and really care about the customers unlike a-lot of other small business. Would recommend Expression Tattoo & Art to anyone from all walks of life.

โ โ โ โ โ Came here on Saturday the 21st of May after hearing great things. The reason I am rating my experience 3 stars is because I neither had an amazing or a completely terrible experience. I am happy with my tattoos but unfortunately don't think I will go back. I stated, in a lot of detail, what I wanted in my form submission. I also sent an email on Thursday lunch time (so a couple of days before my appointment) just clarifying again what I wanted. I included photos and thoroughly detailed, again, the colours, font and placing I wanted. I was told this would be passed on to my tattooist.
When I went there on Sat, I was surprised to find that my tattooist didn't really know what I wanted and asked me twice. When I made mention of the 4th tattoo I wanted, Mike was very surprised as this wasn't noted and advised it may have been missed in the notes. What, twice?? So I was super gutted about that and it kind of spoiled the experience for me. He wasn't able to include it because there wasn't enough time. I was quite surprised that 3 tiny tattoos took two hours. I was booked in at 11 and he finished at 1pm because another client came in (which he seemed really surprised by) so I think the time management and failure to read notes / emails properly is a bit poor.
Loved the studio and I'm happy with my tattoos but of course I'm gutted I couldn't get everything I had asked for, everything I thought I booked for. The tattoos are good, I'm happy with how they look, but as a client it's a bit concerning to hear your tattooist say "I've been tattooing 20 years but still find it hard and these ones are difficult to do". Made me super nervous!! I appreciated the discount for the muck around but don't think I'll be back.
