★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kerry agreed to build us a gate across the driveway, a small fence on the side of the house, and little fence on our deck to keep our kid safe. He charged quite a bit for his time, but as he was local we gave him the benefit of the doubt.
The job he has done is terrible. The pre-fabricated aluminium frame for the large gate was ordered too long, and he had to cut the edge with a saw to fit it, leaving a very sharp edge and a poor finish. He has repeatedly put screws into timber without pre-drilling holes, splitting the wood and ruining the finish. In some instances the screws he has used are too short, and the bits of wood have come off already, only a month or so down the line.
The worst bit is that he has used off cuts of wood, cut poorly to fit, leaving an ugly end product. I have repeatedly contacted Kerry and his son, but they have no interest in rectifying the situation.
Before booking this job I saw lots of good reviews on No Cowboys, and am surprised the job looks so rushed and such bad quality.
