β β β β β Cracking three days of fly fishing the rivers around Te Anau with my son and Chris as our guide.
With both of us new to the game, Chris was able to pick the tempo and best conditions to get the most out of our three days.
Our skill set sharply improved within a terrific adventure experience, it was much appreciated and gave us the opportunity to catch some big fish.
Thank you Chris, sensational stuff, Dan and Riley.

β β β β β My husband had a fantastic and successful dayβs fishing with with Chris while we were touring NZ. Steve is an experienced fisherman but when you are in unfamiliar territory, thereβs nothing like a knowledgeable local guide to take you to the right spotswith the local knowledge to successfully catch. Chris also took on board Steveβs physical limitations due to recent back operation and looked after him exceptionally well, judging his situation perfectly. A day with Chris was invaluable to Steve and he has no hesitation in recommending him (especially to visiting fly fishermen) for his guiding expertise.

β β β β β I just got back from a few days backcountry fishing with Chris. The trip took me to a new part of the country and it was a great adventure. The fishing was brilliant, big trout taking big dries from the surface all day long. It was almost too easy, a good problem to have.
I am certainly looking forwards to the next trip with Chris.

3 days with Chris was fantastic, sharing his knowledge , experience and a few good technique tips to improve our fishing.
The days were fun filled with good banter , plenty of great fish landed in spectacular water.
Will definitely return again when next visiting the area.
I Highly recommend Chris as a guide when you visit this part of Nz .

Was everything and more than we could have expected! Sunny day, great waters, fun conversation, a friendly and very helpful and instructional day, and we enjoyed getting to know you and experiencing fly fishing on a river for the first time. Was great to receive so many good tips and for your encouragement, support and motivation!
I will always treasure your tips regarding casting, fly placement and presentation, and how to cover the water effectively. Was a real treat to make that first cast so close in the fast water, instead of bombing the fly across the water, and that nice fish taking the blow fly right in front of me! You are a special friend now and we will always treasure our day on the water with you!

β β β β β I had a great morning fishing with Chris on the Upukerora river. We hooked into a few fish and coming from the North Island I learnt a lot about the nuances and differences about casting and nymph fishing in the South Island. Im looking forward to coming back when I have more time to explore the rivers around Te Anau with Chris.

If it's a Backcountry experience he is your man. I highly recommend the services of Chris, professional and a warm people person, you will have plenty of fun on the water!!
