★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were too hungry to take a photo but my son and I both rated our pies very highly. Good crispy pastry (the baker wasn't afraid to go for a dark golden colour) and a good meaty filling with a flavorful creamy sauce. I had the steak, bacon and cheese while my son had the mince and cheese. I think I'm a little bit biased against oval pies (as opposed to round) but these little beauties have changed my mind. My top pie bakeries for NZ are Wellington's Patricia's Pies and Kihikihi's Viend's Bakery but this is now my favourite oval pie bakery. That it's only 100m from my house is almost too good to be true!
