About us
Rick and Francine started Franick Chainsaw and Mower Services in September of 2015. Rick has over 30 years experience in the industry and is a Qualified Small Engine Mechanic with extra training on John Deere and Walker Mowers, a Level 3 Stihl Diploma and a Kohler Expert Level Technician Certificate. Francine has over 15 years experience in retail and is responsible for our sales, accounts and marketing.
We believe in good old fashioned service, the best advice possible and most importantly making sure what you buy suits your needs! There is nothing worse that buying something that does not do the job.
Outdoor Power Equipment & Tools
We're able to service any outdoor power equipment. To name a few we service ride on lawn mowers, ride on mowers, zero turns, chainsaws, push mowers, blowers, line trimmers, fertilizer spreaders, water blasters....the list goes on. We also sharpen chains, garden equipment and even spades!
We offer a reminder system where we can text or email you, to let you know a service is due and also a log in system for more frequent customers who like to have access to their invoices come tax year.
Pickup & Drop-off for Servicing
We offer a pick up and drop off service, there is a small fee for this depending on your location.
Our Team
Working alongside us (Rick and Francine) our team has now expanded to include Mark, Craig and Kim. Casual mechanics Sid and Steve come in during the busy season to support Rick and Mark.
- Craig is our go to guy, helping to repair lawnmowers, delivering and picking up ride-on's and push mowers etc, and generally ensuring all the smaller jobs around here get done. Leaving our mechanics free to fix the big jobs.
- Kim, works in the office alongside Francine, she looks after our accounts and invoicing side of things.
- Mark is our head mechanic, he has worked in the industry for over 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge
For our Hawkes Bay Schools
For all Schools, Kohanga Reo and Early Childhood Centres we offer a set 10% discount on all servicing and sales of parts. For new units we will quote the prices at the time.

The mower was returned all fixed within 3 days, has never been so good. The customer service was outstanding, no need to look elsewhere in the Bay, Franick were fantastic and very reasonability priced.
Wonderful and friendly along with great skills in the work shop, thank you all so very much. Highly recommended.
