β β β β β What a hidden treasure - very accomodating surrounded by absolutely beautiful scenery. Right on the beach with a Spa pool that has a view of the waves - highly recommend - worth going the xtra mile to get there for sure !

β β β β β Great time with family over Xmas. Perfect spot for a get together. Heaps of room, great facilities. Pool table and spa were fun. Beautiful walks and great mountain biking in the area.

β β β β β Fantastic place the web site doesn't do it justice. The linen was to die for loved the pool table upstairs . 8 of us stayed for 2 nights great for large family getaway Simon lit the fire on the beach both nights .First night we watched a pod of dolphins playing in the surf sunset's from the upstairs deck were amazing!! So many great walks and historical things to see we will be back!!!

β β β β β The house is in great location and really well kept. It's great for large groups and entertaining.
The owner was very knowledgeable about the local area, and showed us some walks that weren't in any of the local guides or apps that are well worth doing. He was also really helpful, finding us a bbq for the house, bringing in fire wood, providing wetsuits and body boards for the beach.
The only negatives were booking through air bnb resulted in some confusion. It would also be helpful to know when booking that while it is dog friendly, they arent allowed in the house. Minor things really.
Overall a brilliant place to stay thank you.

β β β β β Ghost Lodge Cottage is beside the Ghost Lodge.
The cottage is quaint and unpretentious.
The beds were very comfortable and shower had plenty of pressure in it.
It's a short walk to the beach through the back yard. Its a lovely quiet spot for a romantic getaway or just somewhere to get away from life for a while.
No wifi and my phone worked fine off the 3G network. 4G was picked up in certain areas of the house at various contortions...
We really liked it here.
Its a AirBnB kinda set up so you will need to bring food and drinks.
The Ngakawau Pub is near by with fantastic meals, good views and you'll be well looked after.
Will return to Granity in due course.

Definitely keen to rent for a girls weekend away next summer <3 Ghost Lodge has five bedrooms, two lounge areas for catching up and lots of quiet spaces if you just want some down time to read a book or two. Amazing views and the beach at the back door. If you are on a budget, it's ideal as there's a full kitchen for self catered holiday breaks. Oh and it's pet friendly too... wine and beach 'walkies' with our wee fur-babies is my idea of the perfect holiday.

β β β β β No where else we have stayed not only point out the best fishing spots located within the area our host even cleaned and filleted our catch.If you want tranquility in nature a place to chill and breath I highly recommend this wonderfully set out lodge Beach on the door step ideal for swimming. We will definitely be back.
