★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its rare to find a friendly and family run 'kiwi' business these days and this is what Nelson Mini Storage is. Nicely updated just recently and always clean and tidy. Phil and Briar are on hand to help - be it a loan trailer, assistance backing up or just checking in to say hi. Nothing is a problem and you get a good down to earth service at a good price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service run by 2 of the rudest people I have ever met. In June 2017 I was doing a friend a favour who had left the country by leaving his car at this Mini storage which had been prearranged by his cousin living in Nelson. When I arrived with my friends car they complained because it was untidy, I explained it wasn't my vehicle not that it should matter since they were simply storing it. I took a taxi to the airport to catch my flight. Shortly after the owner of Nelson mini storage came to tell me I had to come back because he couldn't get it started. I at this point was checking in to my flight, and had to rearrange my luggage. I told the owner that he would have to contact the cousin who had arranged the storage & was happy to provide a contact number for my friend the owner of the vehicle so they could sort out a mechanic or deal with the cousin direct. The owner left whilst on the phone to his wife complaining loudly because I wouldn't come back, but I had to catch my flight & I had simply done what I was instructed to do by my friend and the cousin by dropping the vehicle off. As far as I was concerned it was out of my hands & they had all the necessary numbers to contact my friend and the cousin. Today 2 October 2017 I returned with my friend to pick up the vehicle. They complained because we hadn't rang before, and then looked at me and spoke to me in the most disgusting manner possible and said that I had lied about my flight about to leave and that I should have come back, and that I had left the car in a shocking state and tried to blame my friend. They also said we were not welcome back. Absolutely atrocious behaviour and customer service. I would recommend going anywhere but here. Appalling customer service, very rude horrible people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had a storage unit here for afew years now and the owners/managers are so accomodating! They are always willing to help and friendly. I have courier deliveries made there on a regular bases that need to be stored and unlike many other storage businesses locally they will accept the goods on my behalf and they also place into my unit for me. The location is fantastic for my needs also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely inconsiderate people to deal with! No compassion or time to rectify anything even though things were explained to them about my poor health through covid to now. They were too quick to make judgement and make threats although they still got paid for their storage shed unit.. I would never recommend Nelson mini storage to any of my friends or family who live there or plan to move to Nelson in the near future!
