★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly unprofessional staff and doctors. My daughter had a severe abdominal pain in the appendix area - staff ignored it completely asking if we could wait about an hour regardless earlier booking, doctor reassured it's not appendix, subscribed some paracetamol and sent back home. In 12 hours appendix has bursted, 1am ambulance ride, 9am emergency operation with full stomach clean up and long recovery. Easily diagnosticable and promptly operatable condition for current times. Made surgeon wonder why doctor didn't recommend to visit hospital if not sure. Clear example of C gives a degree of employment for Green Island GP medical centre. Would advise to look for GP somewhere else, when health is important to you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iv been going to this here for 30 years. And the past 3 years iv become to dread this place. I can never get an appointment. They care more about money than me actually seeing a doctor. They seem to have so much power over my prescriptions considering they didnt have the expertise to diagnose my condition. as iv been going to a specialist for 30 years. They are difficult

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have to agree with review above after my treatment this morning. The Drs are lovely but reception seems to have changed lately. Extremely uncaring, disinterested, 'you are a hassle' type attitude conveyed. Charged me full price when it should have been ACC related. I will be looking elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one place you need to avoid. There is one woman dr there who wasted 9 months of my life. Very incompetent and totally useless. The reception staff apart from 2 ladies are so rude. One in particular … Karen is her name…. Yes really. She’s totally rude and dosnt care who she’s rude to. I’ve since left and can’t believe how good my new dr is. The drs are always late even if you get the first app for the day. I’ve waited 30 mins plus. I’m so pleased I’m out of there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without a shadow of a doubt the worst bunch of professionals I have ever encountered. Do yourself a favour and do not use this place. I have never seen the same doctor more than once and everytime they say that you can have a repeat script via phone they get you in so they can charge you again. Have had enough of the ineptitude and am moving.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the reception staff are quite unfriendly, and often get their facts wrong, such as immigration status and vaccination status - important things!
My doctor is also quite dismissive and rude, I often get the impression they are telling me off, and overly focused on process rather than care. My doctor is always late to appointments, even early in the day.
Finally (and in fairness this may be an SDHB rule rather than GIMC), I don't agree with some of the charges, such as $45 for a 15 minute appointment, just so that my GP can have me sitting next to her whilst she reads through my blood test results. Do that on your own time please. I did not need to be there, and it seems like money-grabbing to me.
