Competitive pressure with Z service station at the other end of Matamata main street often causes this Gull station to offer good prices. Quite good station if you can't be bothered to stop at Matamata shops for a pie or ice-cream or drink.

Pakeha lady pulls in. Maori guy pulls in. Both pumps on Prepay! Both customers select “FILL”
Guess which customer had their pump unlocked and which one had to go inside to “ask” for theirs to be unlocked?!!!TYPICAL DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR DEMONSTRATING RACISM!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location next to roundabout on main road. Spacious and clean with good prices but ........ impossible to buy diesel before 6am. Only one pump has card facilities and it’s only 91 and 95.
Mind you buying diesel anywhere in Matamata before 6 isn’t easy.
