★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly highly recommend Haar Design with a 10/10 rating !!!!! I had a sticky situation where I managed to get an old hair brush tangled up in half of my hair!!! I had an Event within the hour, it was looking like a dire number 1 ‘cut’ to free me.... Caro at Haar rescued me going so far above and beyond, to not only save my long hair in time for the Event! But also, then gave me one of the best colour & cuts I have ever received. A beautiful salon, expert hair & hair product knowledge and a genuine love of the science that is understanding hair... a friendly genuine salon vibe and top notch customer experience; I can confidently say I have found my favourite new hair Salon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caro has been my hairdresser for well over 10 years now. Over that period I have watched her evolve from head stylist and salon manager to now business owner of Haar Design. I would not trust anyone else with my hair. She excels in her field of expertise, having won countless hairstyle and colour awards as well as judging competitions. She is welcoming, genuine and an absolute master at achieving the hair colours that I love. Don’t hesitate booking in with her or the team at Haar Design!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Caro for cutting curly hair. Mine is fine and curly. A friend with curly hair recommended her to me years ago, and I haven't looked back. She listens carefully to what I want, creates new style ideas when I ask for them, and is highly skilled and experienced. She gives my hair shape! She's warm and welcoming too :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I told the lady I wanted block colour that was alternating and super chunky. Her and her coworker straight up told me it was out of trend and ugly. I DO NOT care if they think it’s ugly, it’s what I want and as hairstylist they should be able to give me stripy hair if I want stripy hair. I don’t need them to tell me I’ll look like an ugly checkerboard. I want to look like a checkerboard and they should respect that. They told me they didn’t want something ugly walking out of their salon. And yes, they used the word ugly. They then did a strand test to try and prove that my hair wouldn’t lift well… but it actually lifted significantly better than even I expected. So I rebooked to have them do what I wanted with my hair a couple days later. The next day, they called and said my strand test was orange. This was a lie. They showed me the strand test at the salon and it had lifted past being brassy. It was actually really light. She lied to me because she thought my idea was ugly and didn’t want to do it.

And to be frank, having had hairdressers all over the world, and lived in so many towns and cities… I was dreading going through the process of finding my next loyal, productive and understanding hairdresser who I’ll clearly spend a lot of money with, in an ongoing relationship. I was immediately impressed with Holly. She was outstanding in the way she made me comfortable and most welcomed. She didn’t talk too much as she understood I was doing emails and phone calls. But when she did, she was so informed and smart. And real, genuinely sweet. The owner was clearly a very nice person, and had worked hard to build up colleague and client satisfaction over many years, and it shows. The lovely clients who walked through the door of that salon, whilst I was evaluating, have clearly turned into friends. The seats were comfy and the decor beautiful. The compliments I’ve had today, on the stunning cut and colour Holly did on me were ridiculous.. almost embarrassing ? OMG - who cut your hair, I love the color - from random strangers. Let alone people I’ll be seeing back at work on Monday. Thanks Holly, and Haar.
