Visa Requirements
To work for us you must meet one of these criteria:
- be a New Zealand citizen or hold a New Zealand residence visa
- be an Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa
- have lawful authority to work in New Zealand, which includes a Work Visa with conditions that allow the holder to work in the position applied for
- have a variation of condition to a Visitor or Student visa that allows such work.
Establishing a pathway and applying for the relevant immigration status to enter the country can be overwhelming. However Immigration New Zealand has online resources and can provide information, support and advice on how to ensure to the process goes as smoothly as possible.
You can also seek independent advice from an Immigration Lawyer or Licensed Immigration Adviser. The laws around who can give immigration advice are very strict in New Zealand and you must only obtain advice from those who are allowed to provide it.
Resident applications can take several months to process; therefore a majority of our new migrants apply for work visas. In many cases, you are unable to gain a work visa without securing a job offer and subsequently registration with a professional board in New Zealand. Once you have completed the employment application with us we can point you in the right direction for further support.
The best way to ensure that your application is processed efficiently is to ensure that when you submit your application you have provided all the information requested which is truthful and you have not held any information from them. Should information be missing or further information be required, this will delay the processing of your application.
For our part, we will provide employment information and other supporting documentation required by Immigration New Zealand.
