Outstanding and friendly service. We visited last year and the tour and restaurant was the highlight of our trip. We returned this year, knowing the restaurant was closed but platters and the service by french waiter/account was exceptional. Don’t miss this beautiful small organic vineyard.

We had a wonderful food and wine experience yesterday. Highly recommend having the wine tasting/tour before Lunch. It was so informative and having the person who works in the vines also explaining everything to you was fantastic. Food was gorgeous (Salmon and Pea risotto-yummy) and service perfect. Thank you Hans and Therese and Herzog's Team-my guests were blown away.

Not a good experience. I had read some of the reviews and seen the lovely pictures of the garden. I was excited to try some of the unusual grapes grown at this seemingly adventurous winery. But had the choice of...1 choice. 4 wines on a set list costing $25. That's right $25. They weren't the ones I had wanted to try, but you can't tell what wines or the cost until you are at the counter and difficult to say no and leave at that point. The tasting samples were tiny. Very odd as this cost to volume far exceeds the already expensive bottles of wine at a rough average of$65. No free tasting if you buy some wine either. If you have your goods at a premium price, the experience needs to be premium. I see those having enjoyed themselves had food, and perhaps experiencing the nice outdoor area.

Awesome wine experience, highly recommended! Gerald was a great host, knowledgeable, answered all my questions, showed me around and explained me how everything started here in Marlborough for Hans Herzog (I actually got to meet him too!). Comes without saying the place itself is amazing, nice, chilled vibe in the relaxing garden, could have spent the whole day there! ... and the wines!!!!

Absolutely exquisite! This cottage is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend, so much character and finesse, from all the little details (high end linen, bath robes, coffee, arrange of tea, fresh flowers). Beautiful interior design. The team at Herzog were so friendly and welcoming. We made the most of using the bikes they had on offer to pop around to the local vineyards. Highly recommend the breakfast option, delicious! We hope to return in the near future!

We were part of a wine club group who had booked a tour and tasting. Fascinating story of the founder (who was working away in the vineyards behind us) and the passion and precision that drives him to offer an astounding array of wines from a very modest plot. Herzog have a very different offering to what are considered "Marlborough" wines and is all the better for it. Great host/guide (Thanks Maria) who was very knowledgeable, very entertaining and engaging. The tasting itself was well thought through in glimpsing some of the wines on offer. Highly recommended.

I had a pleasant experience, even better because I was attended by a compatriot (Chilean), passionate about wine and with a lot of energy to share and show the quality of the vines. I did the wine tasting, totally recommended. My favorites ones were the Mistral and the Riesling. Thanks to Gerald for his great kindness and good energy.

A wonderful 2 nights in the most delightful "Rose Cottage", an idyllic setting amongst the vines, a short walk from the winery and family home, we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting set in the garden in late afternoon with dappled sun shining through, little fantails hopping from tree to tree, like being in a Disney movie! The cottage itself was immaculate with many antique and original features, and the rooms were serviced beautifully, indeed we enjoyed a "Vineyard Platter" on our deck one evening and of course the wine. Super location, we loved it!!
