About Hauraki Maori Trust Board
The Hauraki Māori Trust Board comprises twelve members who together represent the twelve Hauraki Iwi and form the governing body. Elections are held every three years. David Taipari is the Kaiwhakahaere or Chairperson of the Board.
The Board, has subsidiaries to manage the commercial interests of the Board and through a service level agreement manages the Pare Hauraki Fishing Trust. The Board runs core Iwi member services and social services programmes as whānau support through the management team and staff based at is Paeroa and Whitianga offices.
Other affiliates of the Board Group include Pare Hauraki Kaimoana, Nga Iwi FM, and Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki. There is also a close association with the Hauraki Primary Health Organisation.
