Had a rendang roti roll which was nothing short of spectacular, with the best fried chicken I’ve had in recent memory to boot. I will fist fight any who has left a negative comment on this place, it was absolutely out the gate

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty rendang & good sized kids meal. I had the nasi lemak but it was served with only a teaspoon worth of sambal, ratios were way off and the rice didn't have the right fragrance. Roti on the sweet side.
Otherwise a good kiwi-style Malaysian joint , OK if you don't know the real thing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had my fried chicken today and it was tasty. On top of that, the manager “Jake” served the food fast enough on a rush time though he was doing it by himself. Good customer service. Thank you ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wide selection of dishes representative of Malaysian cuisine but about 80% authentic. I didn't find the sambal chilli in the nasi lemak spicy much. Still the dishes are generous and well presented.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered 1 of the combos to share for a light lunch. We went with the Malaysian chicken with coconut rice and spicy pork dumplings which was delicious. Great service too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 12 year old son loves dumplings and he thinks the prawn dumplings at Hawker and Roll are the best in town. I love the Malaysian slaw with duck, divine! We both enjoy the gorgeous Harbour views and doing our bit for the environment by eating and drinking from Hawker and Rolls reusable tableware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here twice and both times I have not been disappointed. I recommend the duck and hoisin and the pulled pork option. Delicious and well balanced flavours and good portion size. The raspberry lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet which was good. The price is on the higher side but I suppose its still nice a treat. Also gotta love the ambience they have created ?
