β β β β β After Benny at Warkworth electrical called Sam & arranged me to return the faulty Varta battery to them, Alan at stores seemed very helpful & professional. I gave him the battery which was tested flat & faulty by AA Roadside Rescue & one other engineer, and Alan tested it & confirmed that it was dud, tested faulty & said "yes, we will accept that back, as a faulty product".
Alan was super professional & helpful. Varta are normally OK quality batteries & I was told by the retailer (Warkworth Auto Electrical) that HCB would look after me. He had called ahead to arrange it for me to return the faulty battery to Albany near where I now live...
Well, thinking that it was sorted & I would just need to get a refund & repairs to the dead speedo etc, I then got a call from someone claiming to be the HCB Technologies manager. She was 100% unprofessional & has now (with zero technical experience herself) decided that the rubbish battery, already accept as faulty by her company representative, is OK & claiming that my car was the problem!!
She refused to email me any details, but has kept the the faulty battery!!!!
100% untrustworthy wholesale supplier!!!!
If my customer service skills were that bad, & if I totally ignored the NZ consumer guarantee laws, fair trading laws & Commerce Commission, I would not have any repeat business!!
