β β β β β I just completed a motorcycle trip all around South Island, New Zealand. Of all the places I stayed along the way, I enjoyed the Heartland Lodge the most. Jim & Mary are two of the nicest and friendliest people I have met. I highly recommend their B&B as an excellent place to stay in Twizel. It's very close to Mt Cook and in the surrounding area there are plenty of activities.

β β β β β We only spent one night here due to Christchurch flight commitments but the stay was well worthwhile. Jim & Mary suggested we drive the area as we arrived a little earlier than planned. Mt Cook was incredible and the views sensational. Great BnB, very clean, very quiet, large rooms with ensuite and that homely feel you don't get in larger hotels. We had the continental breakfast but others ordered bacon, eggs, pancakes..Jim was onto it !! Poppy's was their suggestion in town for dinner and can recommend that as well...try the ice cream !!!!
Excellent stay.

β β β β β Large rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Great living room area with access to tea/coffee making and washing facilities. Short drive to restaurants and shops. Pleasant gardens with areas to sit outside. Very welcoming owners - we felt "at home" here.

β β β β β We had a wonderful stay. My wife booked us as a bit of a lark, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The hosts managed the fine line between allowing us our privacy and interaction. The views are stupendous, although it was a bit rainy while we were there. The breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommended!

β β β β β Amazing!! My husband and I enjoyed a three night stay at this beautiful lodge last week. What a treat. The rooms are large and inviting. The beds are amazing..best linen ever!!!
Jane and Peter are great hosts, and Pete is a wonderful tour guide.
We will certainly be back.
Best breakfast complete with homemade raspberry jam..to die for!!
Cant wait to return!!

β β β β β Absolutely nice place to stay. Large rooms, very nice hosts, very clean. We felt home here from the very first minute. Can only recommend to stay at Heartland Lodge. I have stayed on business in many international 4*+hotels I think many of them can not compete quality and service wise. Thanks for the memorable stay.
