★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hegan reserve is a small but nice grassy reserve. It has a Brook running beside it and a railway too. It is bordered by Rangiora New Life school and is very close to Southbrook school also, both schools at times use it for hosting cross-country running events and other events where being at a park is most suitable. It has riparian native plantings on it's borders.
