β β β β β Holliday (or his son...?) is one interesting antique himself. I entered their store to inquire about appraisals, but dissapointedly the only notable knowledge I left with was of the extent of his severely inflated ego. After looking at me in a way meant to belittle my obviously unwelcome casually attired person (I am, as it happens on holiday, which was in part ruined by Holliday), and laughing brashly at my innocuous queries, he informed me in his excessively nasal voice that I was "better off just looking at" my possessions rather than bothering him with my business. After enduring his sneering for far longer than any person with a healthy self-worth should, I concluded that he must be projecting his possible mummy issues and probable low self-esteem due to a lifetime of overcompensating for a likely small and limp antique of his own, and I proceeded to take the only sane response which was to turn on my heel without a word and slam the door behind me.
WARNING: DO NOT APPROACH UNLESS SUFFERING FROM SEVERE MASOCHISTIC TENDENCIES

β β β β β Always an amazing experience to enter the Hollidayβs shop. Items are of the highest quality. One is blessed with facts about the prominence of pieces of interest. Barry is a true gentleman as is his son Jason. Repairs are of the highest quality. Gary is amazing with restoration.

of very high quality. Their shop is a treasure trove and their friendliness makes every visit a joy.

β β β β β They do fix china, silver and wooden things. I don't know about wood but I was a bit disappointed with the results with some figurines. An average result - better than a home repair. Enquiring about repairing some 1800's wooden chest jewellery boxes and I was told that they didn't have some materials so it would be better if I did parts myself. I didn't feel they were really set up to handle more detailed repairs.
