★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a bit confusing to find the place at first ..Pork sisig was amazing it’s got that authentic taste but the pork hock (crispy pasta) had that stinky or “malansa or mapanghi” smell! it still tasted good though ..i’m very particular when it comes to this dish coz it’s usually the most expensive in the menu. Staffs were friendly and attentive. It just felt uncomfortable to eat because the music was so loud also someone was doing karaoke ! I had to ask the guy to turn down the music a bit coz i couldn’t even hear myself talking to friends. The overall ambience is soso.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yummy Authentic Filipino food! The Karekare is so yummy, my favourite! Kids love the barbeque and hubby's all time fave is sisig. The halo halo is also a must try! It's so refreshing! Plus great ambiance, too! Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered Home Cooked through Menulog during Level 3 as I wanted to support local and fellow kababayan. But I was heavily disappointed with almost everything we've had. We ordered sharing Dinuguan and Beef Kare-Kare cause we knew it was gonna be worth it, unfortunately it wasn't. I used to come to Homecooked all the time and order dinuguan cause they make good dinuguan, but both dishes were just fatty meat and swimming in oil. I felt like I was ripped off. The Kare Kare especially which was $32, was just filled with beef fat and tendons that I felt sick after eating it. Dinuguan was the same. We kept it for the next day, and the meat in it was visibily white from the fat. Everything didn't sit well in my stomach cause of the fattiness. The only silver lining was the lumpia, the taste and texture was just like how I remembered
it, and the atchara as well, because even the Leche Flan was sad and disappointing.
I understand the increase in prices especially during these tough times, and we are willing to support the business, but atleast make it worth the spend. Maybe it was because it was from a different branch (Mt. Albert) than I was used to (Elliot Stables), but I felt really sad after having to eat the meal we just spent so much on but not wanting to finish it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought some ‘authentic’ filipino food but wasn’t prepared well. Family got tummy aches after eating the food. Not keen to order again.
