★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased EXTERNAL/entrance doors from Humes and installed them correctly with all faces sealed with primers and top coats and a 1300 overhang for protection. The doors failed within 3 months, completely stuffed. Humes will not replace them, citing their warranty puts doors in a tropical area. Doors installed in Surfers Paradise on Chevron Island. Humes tell me area is SUB tropical not the category of coastal. Tropical is north of Rockhamton. Tropical is tropical and sub tropical is sub tropical. So I needed to have an overhang of 2100. I'm off to buy the cheapest imported doors for better performance never to buy a Humes EXTERNAL door again.
