β β β β β Hunter Valley Station was for sale when I visited in 2015 on an AOPA Flying Safari -- but I'm sure its stayed much the same. Beautiful isolated lakeside station with a nice strip to fly into and interesting friendly folk - a perfect base from which to explore the fantastical South Island. What could be better?

β β β β β Visited this Station when we were staying at Kidds Bush DOC camp, at the invite of someone who lives there. As they were working in the sheep yards the two farmers stopped to chat and as my husband is an x farmer he was invited to help with drafting, which he did. Friendly people, awesome surroundings.
