Who We Are
Founded by Ian Hunt in 1972.
Ian Hunt Flooring’s current directors are Ian Hunt, Stephen Hunt and Ross Williams all of whom are at least second generation floor covering people with a passion for the industry.
We supply an extensive range of flooring products from carpet, laminate, engineered timber, tiles and vinyl, sourced from throughout New Zealand, Australia, USA and Europe.

Background
Flooring has always been in the Hunt family. Ian Hunt's father was with a major flooring manufacturer in New Zealand and his grandfather was a buyer of Persian rugs for a company in England many years ago. Ian Hunt Flooring was established in 1972 and with 50 years of experience in the flooring Industry we have maintained an excellent reputation for servicing the wider Auckland area.
Flooring has changed dramatically since the company was established and particularly in the early 2000s, Ian Hunt Flooring has always adapted to meet the changing trends of the flooring industry within New Zealand. Nylon carpets have become popular due to their fade and stain resistance and hard flooring, which we introduced in 2006, due to the popular open plan style of living and changing trends.

โ โ โ โ โ Pretty disappointed with these guys. The carpet layer came on 3 occasions. I had to clean up after him and when i expressed my disappointment with Jennifer she told me they don't clean up after themselves. Our house was a mess. On top of this i had to clean greasy fingerprints from all the doors that were removed. Came back a 3rd time to rectify terrible joins in the carpet.

Their quote came best in price and best in quality. And when there was misscomunication about date instalment they did absolutely everything to get things done and they went above and around to get the job done! I will so highly recommend to all friends and family and surely will use them again in a future!
