★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lynear & David we’re amazing to deal with. My bridesmaid & I had the most comfiest sleep in the double room. Then myself & 8 bridesmaids all got ready in the private lounge & access to kitchen, dining room & outside courtyard. It was the perfect stress free wedding with parents & family dropping in to wish me luck. My husband & I spent the night in the deluxe room. The sheets & quality of bedding was outstanding. As was the linen & fridge refreshments. I’m so pleased to have come across Irongate retreat & will be spending every wedding anniversary there. Thank you both so much for going above & beyond to make our stay amazing. Xx

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely people and so welcoming. When you first get there from the road there is just a driveway but as you look down it there are an amazing row of trees leading down to a collection of buildings thT make up the property.
We were camping in the car so got to park under a giant oak tree and had access to toilet/facilites. Family atmosphere and very easy to get lost in conversation if you wanted to.
The rooms they have available are well presented and the configurations give lots of options.
Definitely going back there soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: The breakfast was amazing and all the facilities are clean and very comfortable. They go out of their way with little touches of snacks and drinks in the rooms and regularly check in to see if you need anything and are very flexible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My elderly mother and I stayed for an evening and found the surroundings and our host, Lynare, enchanting and welcoming. The facilities and room were comfortable and pretty. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Excellant breakfast, hosts very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Bed very comfortable, good vehicle parking. Short distance to city and suggested evening dining at excellant restaurant.. Negative: Pleased that we were the only guests of three bedrooms who would need to share the bathroom facilities with toilet and shower over bath. Shower water pressure low but did the job..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a find! Beautiful, serene and peaceful spot, secluded, yet close to amenities. The hosts were delightful, kind and generous. Clean, comfy rooms. We loved the rose garden, the orchard and the tennis court. The breakfast was a feast! So much variety, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, your choice of coffee, tea and more.
The only downside was the shared bathroom and the water pressure.
We will visit again for sure! Thank you, Lynare and hubby!
