β β β β β Cool spot, in a great location. Really unique with lots of chill out space and good facilities. Can be quite noisy/echoey in the main atrium at night, although there are signs to keep people from being to loud.

β β β β β Awesome to stay in an old prison. The staff were super friendly and the other guests were respectful. The free internet doesn't work very well in the rooms which was a shame and the stairs at the back made me nervous without any hand rails but I would definitely stay again.

β β β β β Backpackers with a difference, you get to sleep in an old world prison cell, made for a fun cheap stay in Christchurch city.
Totally recommend it, you will remember a stay here way more than a posh hotel for sure. And for the right reasons.????

β β β β β A nice hostel experience, staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was spacious though the TV rather small. Noise resonated through the building though that was to be expected somewhat - quite fun being in the old jail all in all. Reasonable price and room.
