Jugnus Little India - Paraparaumu Beach
About Jugnus Little India
Wellington History
Jugnu Gill opened his first restaurant in 1997. Jugnu arrived in New Zealand from New Jersey, USA. In his working life he worked as a Systems Engineer in Information Technology for 2 large corporations. First in London and then in the USA. Jugnu has always had a passion for food and hospitality. He wanted to open a restaurant in New Jersey, but it was not practical at that time.
His siblings, Dame Sukhinder Turner, Shammi Sandhu and brother Sukhmohan (Sukhi) Gill were already in Dunedin. Jugnu joined them in 1993.
It was a natural progression for Jugnu to help his brother with his business. Jugnu opened a restaurant in Queenstown with his siblings. and then owned and operated a Bar and Night club in Dunedin! A desire to branch out on his own eventually led him to Wellington.

β β β β β Delicious food. Friendly, efficient service. Particularly liked the mixed platter & the goat curry. Large range of menu items. Quite a few diners on a Thursday evening. This place is popular. Easy parking. Great location across from the beach. Will certainly be back.

This is in reply to your reply @Little india paraparaummu
I have attached some screenshots from your website which clearly doesn't says quantity. I think its time to reconsider your website. Also its not necessary that you get 5 star everytime so please start considering your all reviews and try to rectify things if needed.
What i can say if your negative reviews looks fishy to you

β β β β β A large menu with lots of choices especially when you want to try everything, would be helpful if staff gave some recommendations or help with choices.
Has the chicken Jhalfrezee which was so good . Would also recommend the mushroom as a starter.
Wait time for mains was a little longer than would expect but the restaurant was busy and we were a group of 7.
Felt a bit annoyed having to pay $5 for a dish of mango chutney but overall good value for money.. would definitely go again and soon.

β β β β β A lovely inviting venue...tasteful decor, authentic and good service.
The food was delicious!
Rather than mains we chose 4 starters to share between 2 of us to provide more variety, plus a naan.
Very satisfying.
The only small negative was the fish starter...very tasty...however a disappointing portion size....to the point I had wondered if they had run out...
Otherwise a good eating experience....byo....looking forward to return to try other dishes
