I have one of the most fantastic doctors. All my life GPs never did an assessment on me just kept prescribing the same old rubbish. I managed to get enrolled with Doctor Walkinson and she immediately reviewed my meds. She worked with a team to ensure I received the proper care. All these years I had been misdiagnosed and had to undergo a controlled detox. It was hard. Now I feel as if I am a different person. In all honesty I owe her my life. She is kind, empathetic and willing to listen. She has set up various specialist appointments to address my real diagnosis. The staff are courteous and the nurse practitioners very professional. I know it is sometimes hard to get an appointment but that is because they are so thorough and dont push you through like cattle. Phone appointments are always available ad if it is urgent they will find a way for you

I think it was unfair of me to review so harshly during Covid, so I'm amending it and clarifying a few things. I genuinely feel for the nurses and doctors who are all giving it their everything during this time. Our doctor in particular is awesome, unfortunately she is booked out for so many months in advance that it's just not practical to book with her anymore. While not having access to your family GP is a scary prospect for a parent in these times, we were fortunate enough to be seen by our Doctor as she worked a weekend shift (presumably on her day off) for City Docs where we had gone to be seek medical advice quicker than Kauri could offer. No doubt about it, our doctor is an absolute machine. It's unbelievable how stretched thin yet dedicated these people are during this time - it must be exhausting. That said, I still disagree with Kauri's new callback triaging system, or at least how it was delivered to us. All I know is that they were "trialing something new", and that we would get a call back in a week to be triaged for an appointment with anyone that wouldn't happen for several additional weeks. Perhaps there's a good reason to change up the dynamic, but surely a change as impactful as this should be accompanied by some reading material which explains: What to do if it's urgent but not an A&E emergency? How do I use the portal to book an appointment with anyone if my GP isn't available for the next few months? If/when I can still come in and wait to be seen by anyone. How long is the trial expected to go for?

It's clean and tidy, my prescriptions are done quickly and I am texted when my meds are ready to be picked up. I have good communications with the pharmacists. There is a range of gifts in store and I sometimes pick out birthday and Christmas gifts here. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

I was shocked to discover that I was charged the same price for a follow up phone call as a result of the Doctors appointment I had last week, which was simply going over the same information as he gave me.

Called up in regards to a email as missed an appointment that I had cancelled! But according to The receptionist I hadn’t and upon that she was very rude to me when discussing this matter also saying that I had the wrong address and was again then rude to me when I had actually changed the address to the right one on a past visit! This is not the first time the receptionist have been rude either and I have also heard from multiple people saying they have had the same problem! I didn’t want to do this but my day was well ruined after hanging up the call! It’s a private doctor that should show a lot more of a professional approach when talking to people! If I could give you no stars I would but unfortunately have to put one rant over sort it out… PS I hope I don’t have cancer as that was what my appointment was all about

This is the worst Doctor service ever! When you actually get to see a doctor, they do their job well, but I struggle to get to see a doctor. I'm an asthmatic and should be having an appointment with a doctor to review meds, etc. Thats not to mention any other times I may need to see them. My last appointment I had book a MONTH in advance. Then on the day the doctor was sick so had to be rescheduled to an afternoon appointment. That doctor went home early, so my appointment when ahead with a nurse. I required a follow up appointment - to see a Doctor Which also got cancelled due to doctors not being available. Now my follow up appointment is just over one month since the nurse saw me. Must say, not impressed. We need a better GP service. Especially during a pandemic!

My wife & I went to register with Kauri Healthcare yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the very kind & polite man who welcomed us at reception. Nothing was too much trouble for him and all went very smoothly resulting in a quick response today informing us that we had been accepted by this medical centre.

My 2 year old baby got covid and few symptoms. They wouldn’t give her any medication! Had to wait for hours just to get a call from the nurse and she’s stressed out and not happy. I JUST WANT THE BEST FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK WHEN IT’S YOURE JOB.
