★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lush native bush 10 mins from downtown Auckland. If it's been raining the track will be muddy in places so bring old shoes. Look out for the 300 year old tree. If you go at night, take a torch to see and turn it off sometimes to check for glow worms. Some views of the water and city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice walk, but not well looked after. Signs fallen over, trees fallen over paths, muddy paths, path edges dangerously sloped when they should have timber edges. Not recommended for kids to roam free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This isn't the great New Zealand outdoors, but it is a lovely track for a run/ walk for locals. Great views and thick bush, goes all the way around the area with fantastic lookout points.
