About Kiwi Educare Rotorua
In March 2020, Aimee Christie purchased Kiwi Educare from Lynda Godfrey who remained a valuable member of the teaching team. Aimee brings to the centre many years of experience in education and the same family focused perspective of education, and is supported by an amazing teaching team.
In 2014, Lynda Godfrey, a long-time employee purchased Kiwi Educare from Danya and the traditions of a family-based centre continued, supported by everyone currently involved at Kiwi Educare. Lynda’s passion for education was evident in the way she was continually supported by families and whānau, and the learning continued.
Kiwi Educare was the dream of Danya Wood who brought her dream to life after a lot of hard work in September, 2008. The bare land at 252 Vaughan Rd was purchased and the centre was designed with an open plan main learning environment and so that the playground captured the sun all throughout the day, and a purpose built environment emerged. Kiwi Educare had a whānau-based approach from the start, encouraging Tuakana-Teina relationships within a small license number of 36 children.

He started at the centre at 18 months old and loves spending time there – playing in the sandpit, dancing to music and learning new things. As a family we love the effort that goes into the special activities organised around themes such as Matariki, Olympics and Mother’s Day and how we are invited to take part. Highly recommended as a safe, happy place for your little one.
