Goes to show how rubbish Knapps is, wasting people's time and money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family trusts, wills and blended families can be very challenging especially after the death of a principal of the family. There are emotions, history, misinformation and at times confrontation. The Knapps team provided access to the best legal advice available to inform our options. The timeliness and quality of the written communication from Amanda Crehan was outstanding, especially noteworthy in an age of text messaging language and abbreviations. Amanda moved small and large obstacles over many months to get all parties to the negotiating table, and worked constructively with focus to reach a settlement which everyone could live with. Amanda Crehan showed a depth of compassion throughout these processes as did all of the Knapps team. We are very grateful for the outcome and the sense of calm that comes after difficult times. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Following the death of my 'last' parent, I had extensive help from Knapps in relation to wills and estates, and with making changes to our family trusts. They were professional, friendly, thorough and had a healthy degree of caution. I feel I was advised well at all times. I would happily use their services again and recommend them to others.
Few people are perfect all the time. I make errors and so do others. The folks I dealt with at Knapps were patient with my foibles, and the few minor misunderstandings/mistakes that I experienced in the extensive business that our family did with Knapps were sorted out with comparative ease. I find it helpful to expect the best and it has been my experience that most things can be sorted out through being fair to the highest level of our ability, remaining positive and talking things through with other parties and law company staff.
And although this is slightly off topic, I want to say how important it can be to ensure that you think very carefully before setting up a trust and that you understand all your obligations. It is also wise to write a will and nominate executors and people with power of attorney well ahead of the time that you anticipate that you might need to do so. And if someone asks you to be a trustee or an executor.... ensure that you are fully informed about what is involved before signing up; I have often joked that if you hate someone, make them a trustee for your project.
