Ladymead through it's dedicated staff are committed to giving your pets the best possible tender loving care when they board with us.
Michael Macklin is the owner & manager of Ladymead. He has a wonderful affinity with animals and over a decades worth of experience at Ladymead. Michael, his wife Kate & other part time employees are dedicated to the well being of your pets. They ensure all pets are treated with love, respect, are well fed, clean & warm.
All domestic pets can be accommodated– dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits and rats and even pigs.
We have an indoor & outdoor cattery both fully enclosed. Each unit has its separate sleeping room with plenty of space for exercise. We go the extra effort to ensure the cats are comfortable & safe.
Our dog units are very spacious in a well ventilated & insulated area. We can cater for most dogs including those on restrictive exercise and elderly dogs.
Doggie Day Care is offered at Ladymead - is your dog home alone & bored?
Pickup and Drop off Service - let us know if you require this service (subject to terms and conditions)
How Ladymead works
- all boarding dogs are exercised twice a day
- we can accommodate special diets, medicating & special needs at no extra charge
- dogs are feed twice daily with Nutrience biscuits & Wag or Chunky dog roll
- cats are fed twice a day with Nutrience biscuits and/or wet food
- dogs can be run separately, with family or with others, depending on their temperament
- all pets must be up to date with their vaccinations, including kennel cough for dogs. Please bring their books with you.
- daycare dogs spend the day in one of the 11 exercise yards with similar dogs that they get on with

Took our animals at short notice and weren't fazed when we turned up with only the dog as the cat had done a runner at the last minute (we found someone to feed him from home). Staff were friendly and helpful and we extended the dog's stay with no problems. Dog came home happy and healthy. Would definitely use again.

Separate cat cages are roomy, however it was not well ventilated for summer conditions.
Very noisy with dogs, as it houses a lot of pets!
It is a handy location (on the highway) for pick-up and drop-off.
