About Lake Farm Garden
Linda and Donald purchased the property in 1994 and have since opened the garden to the public, developing their beautiful garden rooms fully to make visitors smile & provide endless photo opportunities. Linda and Donald enjoy hosting weddings, family events and work gatherings with a difference.

β β β β β A beautiful venue in rural Taranaki, about 35 minutes out of New Plymouth. We had our wedding here, and were blown away by the high level of service provided by the two owners, Linda and Donald, throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond during all stages of our wedding to help make it a successful event - it took a lot of stress off us. Set on Lake Ratapiko with stunning gardens and a large barn, this was the perfect place for our rustic themed wedding. There were plenty of accommodation options for guests, who could camp overnight for free, stay in the bunkhouse for $20 per person, or hire a fully self-contained two bedroom unit called Kermit, featuring really nice views of the lake and garden as well as kayaks, a jetty and fire pit. Next to this unit is a small self-contained studio called Shoebox, which was provided to us free for the night as bride and groom. Both were well stocked with all the consumables and facilities you would find in a motel. I can't recommend this place enough! Linda and Donald are amazing friendly people who are always willing to lend a hand, and we are very grateful to them for all the help they provided us leading up to, during and after our wedding.

β β β β β If you want a stressfree and beautiful wedding day, Lake Farm Garden is the ideal venue. Not only do you have access to their lovely gardens with lake view, but also Linda and Donald are available throughout the day and night to help coordinate vendors, serve drinks and clear bottles etc. We found that they have lots of items to help with decorations and easily solved any problems we had crop up. One of the absolute bonuses of this venue is that guests are welcome to camp onsite and have use of the gardens the next day for brunch. As the bride and groom, we had access to a cosy cabin. This was perfect for us as it meant that everyone could relax and enjoy the party, and head to bed when they were ready rather than when their driver was ready. Rather than one night, we had a weekend to catch up with our friends and family. We have had so many guests tell us that they thought the venue and Linda and Donald were fantastic. For everything that's included, this venue really is great value for money. Thank you again Linda and Donald!
