★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to spend your weekend. Kinds love it and a very nice walkway for those want to walk and enjoy nature. Warning: the children area has some dangerous playing tools. My son fell over steps and injured. Keep your kids under a very close supervision.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my 5yr old Grand Daughter to the Playground - She just Loved it - I wandered around - Pushing or Pulling her on the equipment - All good Fun but ... She decided to climb up ibside the Big Climbing Frame - She is Adventurous so I thought nothing of it .. Until I heard her Wailing from the top floor inside the frame - thise dreaded words any Parent or whoever is caring for a young child dreads ...
-I am Stuck!...Help!..I can't get down !... or even worse ..Please come and get Me Down!!
I am a 70yr old Nana but ... I dropped my bag and Climbed into the Climbing Frame - I was Anxious to say the Least while She carried on wailing - so I continued climbing - passing Kids who gave me a Quizzical Look as if to say - "What are You doing here/ Why are You invading our Adult free space.
All of a Sudden there she was - at the top of a climbing wall but unable to see the holes from her position.
- I helped her through that frightening space and we headed out to the exit
- but..I still had this nagging Question in My head - "Who will Rescue Me if I got Stuck" and what would that Rescue look like? - I had visions of being cut out of the frame by some burly Firemen or being Told off for 'playing on the Climber' - oh well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to walk and talk or run 3.8k around also for kids to play in the amazing new playground. adult gym too on the oposite side of verandah cafe. Unfortunately Cafe is very expensive and lacked soul, service or good food last time I went, but the little ice cream shop is popular. So many spots to lie back and chill with a picnic or have a family/friends game of touch or cricket. Be aware the park is locked 30mins after sunset and you have to pay cash to get out? Which seemed dodgy to me?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to take the kids. I remember when I was growing up there used to be a train for the kids to ride, but this is no longer there. I think they should bring the train rides back and take it right around the lake.
Has much better playgrounds that it used to. Good for kids of all ages.
I would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just visited around a week back. Beautiful place, Nice Scenery, Nice Flowers, ducks and is pretty lively too. One of the places worth a visit to in hamilton :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the lake isn't ok for swimming in due to natural water being prevented from flowing into the lake causing it to become toxic, the short walk around the lake is nice. It's fairly shaded for most the way. There is also the Veranda cafe which has a nice selection of foods for a relatively decent price alongside the playground which has an interactive water stream

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lake Rotoroa is not in Rotoroa but in Hamilton also known as Hamilton lake in Waikato region, based in the city , good for family picnic, day outing , lunch time walking or running, beautiful duck pond , so many birds to experience, nice bicycle and walking track
