i have just bought a vehicle from lancaster sales & service {jan 2020} and just couldnt be anymore impressed with the whole experience. i knew the brand and model of what i was wanting so thru google entering the exact car i was looking for i stumbled upon lancaster sales and service due to them having one in their yard,so i rang them about 5pm wed evening,they asked if i would like to come and take it for a test drive and i replied that my current vehicle had a broken transmission and due to multiple injuries i am not able to walk much more than 600-700 meters,and this is where the impeccable service started,firstly they bought the car out from the other side of chch out to my home in kaiapoi,the following morning for a no obligation test drive,there was none of the pushy salesman that you can too easily find when buying from a dealer just answered any questions that i myself asked about,i had already taken steps towards the same model and year car from another dealer but nothing had been signed or finalized etc and it had nothing to do with lancaster having the higher standard car {which it was}but it was the fact that they went out of their way to make things as easy and stress free for me without them even having a clue if i was going to buy the car that they had or another one at another dealers that i had only viewed on the internet and spoken to on the phone {there was no offer of bringing the vehicle out for me to view from the other dealership,so i agreed to buy from lancaster sales. now this is where the service went to a whole new level,i had agreed to buy and had signed all the forms required to finalize,while that was taking place lancaster sales and service took the car out filled it to the brim with gas,they gave it 12mnths of rego and 12mnths of w.o.f,the car had not long arrived in nz and lancaster sales and service paid for all the on road cost {go to 99% of dealers that are selling nz import vehicles and your the 1st nz owner, they all state the asking price plus on road cost on top}i had also made them aware that i had a tandem wheel enclosed trailer for my model aircraft so they organized to get a tow bar fitted and wired and due to the way the boot operated on my now new vehicle lancaster sales knew that a standard tow bar would stop the boot from opening properly so they totally organized for a detachable tow bar all wired and certified and paid for by lancaster sales. i have never really been the type to leave reviews etc whether they be positive or negative but from the outstanding service that i received from lancaster sales &service this is thoroughly deserved,i am not too sure of the cost of all the extras that were given to me after the sale of the car was completed but its well over $1000 and if your reading this thinking that yea the dealers just had all of this inc in the initial asking price,well as mentioned i knew the exact car that i was wanting and would have looked at 12-15 of these cars thru out chch on the internet so knew what other dealers were asking for the same spec car. so if your thinking of buying a nz new or any car i would highly recommend checking out lancaster sales & service,i saw someone saying they were let down that there was no website well their cars that they have ready for purchase can be found on trade me just like alot of other dealerships but if your after a totally hassle free experience buying a car, the team at lancaster sales & service are honest,they are not forceful in trying to hard sell you into a sale and will go out of their way to meet your needs.......so to finalize im not too sure if reviews get sent to the dealer but if they do i would like to thankyou again for the way i was treated thru the entire purchase of the vehicle,regards nick

Came down to Christchurch with the intention of purchasing a towing vehicle this weekend. I specifically went to Lancaster motors to inspect an Izuzu Bighorn that they had advertised. Looked good so requested a test drive. No other customers were around and the salesperson wasn't busy. (Except for maybe looking forward to his next pie.) He refused to let us test drive it without first committing to purchase it. I had 4 vehicles lined up to look at, 2 hiluxes and 2 Izuzus, and had already told him I wasn't keen to pay the Toyota tax so essentially there was a 50% chance I would buy his. If you want old fashioned (in a bad way) and to be treated in a very rude and pushy manner, go to Lancaster Motors! There's plenty of vehicles for sale out there, I do not need to be treated so disrespectfully. I went to another yard where the salespeople were lovely and helpful, and paid cash for another car.

My partner and I purchased a vehicle recently ,We found Paul so very helpful, not pushy at all and obliged us at every opportunity. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase good quality vehicles. Thankyou

I have been to many car traders and I am happy that I checked out the Lancester Sales & Service. I bought a van for my travel and it came fully served and with a filled up tank. The best is the included insurance on mechanical parts, so I don't have to worry about anything. My car is driving perfectly, haven't had any problems. I am really happy with my purchase, can just recommend going there.

My partner purchased a motor vehicle from them 8 months ago. The agreement was that they would update the registration of the car so it had a full 12months from the day we drove away with it. We left our address with them so they could complete online and send to us. They never did. We rang multiple times only to be told we "we will get it done next week" each time. Finally they got back to us 7 months later and said they can't update rego because the warrant is out. Now the car has a warrant we updated the registration ourselves and sent them the bill. They said they would refund us that money but that was over a month ago now. Still haven't heard back. Will not be dealing with them again!
