★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went with a group yesterday (there were 9 of us). Parking was a bit iffy, mainly car parks for trailer parking so we ended up parking in a trailer parking.
Walked in and the waitress seemed shocked to see a large group of us? Anyways, we got seated at a table that still had dishes on it. Dishes were removed but our table wasn’t wiped down.
We were told someone would come take our orders but after 15-20 minutes, no one still had come. One of our friends had to go up and request for someone come take our orders. Someone eventually came and took our orders.
3 of us had ordered fish and chips and we were told they were out of fish...? Another friend had ordered fejoa juice which was out of stock but was only told when the food arrived. Whilst other drink orders came before that and was wondering why we couldn’t be told then? Food took over 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the beef burger, had burnt buns where you can taste the burnt and burger overall was tasteless, probably just needed more sauce. Other orders were the chicken burger which also had some burnt buns and was lacking taste . Another friend ordered the mussels which were cooked with canned tomatoes which was another let down.
Overall service was really bad, food wasn’t great either. Best part of the visit is probably the view of the marina
Rating 2 as the place has some good potential, just needs improvement on overall service and food quality and or even management. Seems like a number of other reviewers and visits had a similar experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love Sue and her team!! Always smiling, happy to see us and quick to take our orders. If you’re after a quality muffin, look no further! These guys have other fab freshly baked goods, perfect to have with a hot cuppa while looking out over the marina.
Highly recommend ☕️??????? and roast night on Sundays, delicious.
Thank you for hanging in there for us team, during really trying times!! ??
Dog friendly too ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were really friendly, which is why I gave a 2, but this was genuinely the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Both me and my friend got the same coffee and took one sip and had to send it back (I’ve never sent a coffee back before even when it’s burnt, but this was genuinely undrinkable). You can tell there’s poor management because you were sitting and waiting to be served for ages, and weren’t checked on, or asked if the food was okay or if we needed anything. Just overall the coffee was bad and it wasn’t a ‘well oiled ship’ - it just wasn’t run efficiently. But the view is nice and the staff were friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really great little eatery that delivers great food in a short time, even in the absence of competition.
We sat down, after the regulatory vaccine pass, mask and health check at the door, and almost immediately a waiter was there to take our order.
I was mentally setting a timer for how long the food would take when we were presented with some of our drinks; my eyes popped ?
Shortly after that the food started arriving and, within minutes we all had our food; good food I must say.
Our host had informed us that, despite being the only eatery place in the area, they were on top of their game, and we certainly can attest to that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff and quick food service. In a group of 6, all our meals arrived at the same time, which saved us the awkwardness of waiting while the food gets cold, for everyone to get theirs. The waffles are amazing! Keep it up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm really surprised by the negative reviews about this place.
The setting next to the Marina is top notch and there is a semi-outdoor area which I imagine would be fabulous on a summers day.
I found the staff extremely friendly, helpful and chatty and the service very good too.
The food & Coffee were excellent and I will certainly be back next time I'm in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was disappointing. We waited 30minutes for our order to be taken and waited one hour to recieve water and have our table cleaned.
I had the mussels and they were over cooked served with canned tomatoes and onion. Bread was not crrispy and the beards were left in the mussels.
I would like to see some love put into the food and service. Until then I would spend my money else where.
